Your connection to the latest Research and Guidelines on
dieting, weight loss, obesity, eating disorders and Healthy Living

ABOUT US

Healthy Weight Network brings you an easy connection to the latest research and practical guidelines on dieting, weight loss, obesity, eating disorders and healthy living. For over two decades, an independant approach to this information has been as close as your mailbox (Healthy Weight Journal) and your bookshelf ( leading-edge books and special reports). In 1997 we went online, making your access to this information even more convenient.

Individually owned, Healthy Weight Network was launched as a way to publish Healthy Weight Journal and other educational materials.

The name Healthy Weight Network recognizes the close informal network we have been fortunate to develop with others over the years. The network began by linking subscribers, contributors and visionary leaders from many fields with our editor and journal staff.

These people came together through the journal, the internet and face-to-face at many conferences through the years. They are leaders with integrity who know the research, reject pseudoscience, and embrace the concept of a healthy living approach.

Together we have shaped a new philosophy that advocates normal diet-free eating, active living, and a compassionate and accepting environment that promotes total health and well-being for people of all sizes.

Our goal at Healthy Weight Network has ever been to provide you with science-based facts on today's weight and eating issues and to link these facts to practical guidelines that empower us all to move ahead with confidence.

We have searched for truth and understanding, investigated misinformation, and reported controversial and challenging issues concisely and objectively. Having networked with similarly committed leaders for over 20 years, we are gratified to be known as a voice of integrity and insight in an area much in need of such voices.

This philosophy is expressed in our mission statement stated below.

Best wishes,

OUR MISSION

Healthy Weight Network provides a critical link between research and practical application on weight and eating issues. Recognizing that weight is a complex condition of increasing concern throughout the world, we are committed to bringing together scientific information from many sources, reporting controversial issues in a clear, objective manner, and the ongoing search for truth and understanding.

Recognizing that weight is an easily exploitable health and social concern, we are further committed to exposing deception, reshaping detrimental social attitudes, and promoting good health at any size. Our mission is to be a voice of integrity and insight in a field that has been much abused and neglected.
